Margherita Santi is an Italian pianist. She has given concerts as a soloist, in duo formation and with orchestra in Switzerland, Russia, Bulgaria and Italy, preferring romantic and modern repertoires. She was awarded various first prizes in national and international competitions (over ten just in Italy) as the "Premio Accademia Filarmonica" in Verona, "Antonio Salieri Prize" in Legnago, "Terzo Musica" in Acqui Terme, "Baldi" in Bologna, "J.S. Bach" in Sestri Levante, "Marco Fortini" in Bologna, "F. Pavia" in Piacenza. She recorded "Piano Recital", a CD published by the Accademia Edizioni Musicali of Verona, with a repertoire based on Chopin and Liszt. In 2016 she made her orchestra debut with the "Rapsodia su Tema di Paganini" by Rachmaninov, a piece she is intimately linked to. At a very young age she started to devote herself to the formation of piano four hands and piano duo, ranging from Mozart to Poulénc. She dedicates herself with great interest to chamber music, performing from duo to jazz quintet formations. Margherita graduated with honors at the age of 16 at the Conservatory "F.E. Dall'Abaco" in Verona under the guidance of M°Laura Palmieri; she also attended the Academy "Santa Cecilia" in Rome before moving to Moscow, where she lived for two years to study at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the guidance of Natalia Trull. She is currently attending the master’s course at the Conservatory of Venice and teaches at the Conservatory of Verona.
