Vincent Leterme studied at the Paris Conservatory under Gabriel Tacchino and Jean Mouillère, and then received instruction from Vadim Sakharov and Jean Claude Pennetier, as well as from János Starker at the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington. As pianist with Ensemble Sillages, he devotes much of his concert activity to contemporary music, as a soloist and chamber orchestra performer. He has played works by Georges Aperghis, several of whose pieces were dedicated to him, and he also premiered works by Vincent Bouchut, Jean Luc Hervé, Alexandros Markeas, Martin Matalon, Pesson Gérard François Sarhan...

As an adept of vocal repertory in all its forms, he is the regular partner of singers such as Sophie Fournier, Chantal Galiana, Vincent Le Texier, Michel Donatienne Dansac, Lionel Peintre...

As Professor at CNSAD along with Alain Zaepffel, he has taken part in many performances combining theatre and music, such as Impressions de Pelléas by Peter Brook and Marius Constant, Commentaires and Entre Chien et Loup by Georges Aperghis, and several productions of the Péniche Opéra (Contemporary Cabaret, Rossini Salon, Battleship, Bistro Cantatas...). More recently he performed in Glenn Gould’s The Idea of North and Au Jour Le Jour, Renoir 1939 under the direction of Benoit Giros. He was vocal coach for the premieres of James Dillon’s "Philomela," Pascal Dusapin’s Passion, and Georges Aperghis’s Les Boulingrin. He was also musical director for the premiere of the opera Forever Valley by Gerard Pesson at the Amandiers Theater in Nanterre. He performed and directed Kyrielle du Sentiment des Choses by François Sarhan and Jacques Roubaud, staged by Frederick Fisbach at the Aix-en-Provence Festival and at Théâtre de la Colline in Paris. Also for the Aix-en-Provence Festival, and then in Paris at the Théâtre de l’Aquarium, he directed and performed in Histoire Vraie de la Périchole, based on the work of Jacques Offenbach, directed by Julie Brochen. At the Comédie Française, he wrote incidental music and songs for Don Quixote, The Wolf, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Peer Gynt (Critics Award 2012).
