Tanguy de Williencourt embodies the music of his whole being, sculpting the sound with strength and delicacy, with a play that surrounds us with a powerful presence. His generous personality and profound thinking of the score, of the nature of a conductor, give his interpretations both architecture, colour and innate theatricality.
Holder of 4 Masters at the CNSM of Paris (2015) in the classes of Roger Muraro, Claire Désert and Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, he is also recognized by the Blüthner and Banque Populaire Foundations. The advice he also received from Maria João Pires, Christoph Eschenbach and Paul Badura-Skoda particularly impressed him. In 2016 he received the double Jury and Public Prize from the Société des Arts de Genève, and was named "Classical Revelation" by ADAMI, then winner of the Generation SPEDIDAM 2017-19. A complete musician, Tanguy de Williencourt is already a noted soloist and a sought-after pianist in chamber music. He has been invited to major concert halls such as the Philharmonie de Saint-Petersbourg, Berlin and Paris, as well as festivals such as Chopin à Nohant, La Folle Journée de Nantes and La Roque d'Anthéron.
He released his first album in 2015 - Brahms/ Schumann (Evidence Classics) - with cellist Bruno Philippe.
