soprano, Clémence Tilquin

Clémence Tilquin began her musical life at the early age of 6 on the cello. She pursued studies at the Haute École of the Conservatoire de Musique of Geneva, and graduated with a Diplôme de Soliste. Her career began mainly as a chamber musician around Europe as well as Japan. The lyricism she found playing the cello inspired her to study singing with Danielle Borst and following postgraduate studies she was awarded a Soloists Masters degree with distinction, as well as the Prix du Ville de Genève. Winner of the prestigious Leenaards and Mosetti Foundations awards, Clémence continued working under the guidance of Eda Moser, Teresa Berganza, Jean-Paul Fouchécourt, Haken Hagegard in Oslo, Sue MacCulloch in London and Bianca-Maria Casoni in Milan. Among her projects, Clémence Tilquin is currently preparing for roles as Fannì in La Cambiale di Matrimonio by Rossini at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées as well as for Alcina in Orlando Furioso by Vivaldi with Jean-Claude Malgoire, and as Brigittein Geneviève de Brabant by Offenbach in Nancy's Opera.
